A dive knife should always have a molded and largely non-slip grip. The blade should be strong sharpened on one side, ribbed on the other. A blade with special Baggy flexion for severing of plastic lacing is recommended.
Never attempt to attach the diving knife on weight belt, because if you have to solve this in an emergency, the knife is lost, or may damage the equipment when pulling out. Smaller diving knife are often put on the right forearm or attached to the BCD, taking care to ensure that the use of the knife is not limited by divers watch or dive computer.
